In addition to Town EAP resources,  people in Canada who are experiencing mental health distress can obtain assistance through 9-8-8: Suicide Crisis Helpline. 24 hours a day -- call 9-8-8 or text 9-8-8 for mental health support (visit 988.ca for more resources).

Available to Halton residents,  Halton ADAPT (Halton Alcohol Drug and Gambling Assessment Prevention and Treatment),  they offer Free Counselling & Support for Alcohol,  Drug & Gambling Problems.

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month,  the Town's Employee and Family Assistance Provider (EFAP),  TELUS Health,  has created a microsite full of resources available to all town staff. Content includes articles and videos on understanding and coping with anxiety. There are also a number of resources available through the Telus Health Platform.
